Tae Kwon Do Classes

Total Body Workout: includes “Cardiovascular” for your inner health, “Muscular Skeletal” for joint and toning benefits, “Stretching & Yoga” to improve flexibility, balance and relaxation”

The first half hour is Cardio-Pumping to raise your heart rate gradually to burn calories and warm up muscles, joints and tendons.  Music adds to the fun of easy to follow moves and the Step/Bench is also used on most days to add a little variety to the Cardio portion for those who want to use it...followed by a relaxing cool down incorporated with some balance moves.  All moves can be modified to make it easier for those who need something a little different. Geared for all ages; beginners to experienced exercisers.

The last part of the class is dedicated to toning major muscle groups and relaxing stretches. We use a variation of resistance equipment including balls, weights and bands. You will leave class feeling great and that your have had a Total Body Workout!

PARTNER COMPETITION

September 6th - November 15th, 2018

 

Get your friends, co-workers or family and compete against other 2 person teams to become healthier! Teams of 2 will compete in a weight loss competition.  Teams will weigh in each week with the hopes of losing 1% of their teams total weight.  The competition will run for 10 weeks with the first weigh-in being on Thursday, September 6th.  Teams can weigh-in anytime between 5 a.m. - 9 p.m.  Both team members must weigh in each week to qualify for prizes. The final weigh-in will take place on Thursday, November 15th.  Rules and regulations of the competition can be picked up at the BRCC. Participants will be offered weekly incentives to keep them motivated on their journey to becoming more healthy. Cost is $30.00 per 2 member team.  The top three teams will win prizes.

 

INDIVIDUAL COMPETITION

January 10th - March 14th, 2019

 

Individuals will compete in a weight loss competition.  Participants will weigh in each week with the hopes of losing 1% of their total weight.  The competition will run for 9 weeks with the first weigh-in being on Thursday, January 10th.  Individuals can weigh-in anytime between 5 a.m. - 9 p.m.  The final weigh-in will take place on Thursday, March 14th.   Rules and regulations of the competition can be picked up at the BRCC beginning December 1, 2017.  Participants will be offered weekly incentives to keep them motivated on their journey to becoming more healthy.  Cost is $15.00 per person. The top three men and top three women will win prizes.
